Bruce Lee RX
A downloadable game
Bruce Lee RX is a graphical update to the Spectrum version of the classic game by Ron J Fournier. The original was always one of my favourites in terms of playability, but I always felt that the graphics did not do the game, or the legend, any kind of justice. Hopefully this modest update goes some way to change that. More information about the update and how it came about, as well as credits, are included in a text file.
As the original game is widely available for download, the full game is provided here. If it turns out distribution is not permitted, I will replace the download with a patch that will not contain any of the original code.
This game is free, but a lot of time went into making it so donations to encourage further updates and other projects are always warmly appreciated. However, if you are an active member of the community in terms of writing games or making content, you may consider it a gift from me.

Hello!! Sorry for the intrusion, hehehe. My name is Felipe, and until recently, I have been editing games for the Spectrum on cassette. Due to personal and work reasons, I’m going to stop editing, and I'm saying goodbye with a compilation of homebrew games for The Spectrum on USB. I want it to be the best and most complete compilation of homebrew games that has ever been made. It will be a non-profit edition, just to provide users of The Spectrum with a pack to spend hours and hours in front of their ZX. I’ve seen some of your games on http://Itch.io and wanted to ask if you would be interested in contributing any of your ZX games to this compilation. I already have legendary creators from the scene on board, but I’d also like to reach out to you. It can be one game, two, or as many as you want, in .TAP format. Even simply granting me permission and letting me know which games I could include would be enough, and I can download them from http://Itch.io. We have created a system where the games will be encrypted, and no one will be able to use them digitally; they will only be playable on their The Spectrum, Divide, or computer. My email is playonretro@gmail.com. Best regards, and thank you very much
It would be nice if someone could fix some of the old bugs and 1 new one :).
The new bug is that the big green guys is always dying on mines. It is not like that in the original game.
Here is the video demonstrating the bugs:
Hello,
great game and great graphics update or remake, thank you. I have an idea. What about make same remake of Zorro game? With your graphics feeling it can be very good game. Plesa try think about it... Thank you David.
Really love this, it's an act of love, and I really dig it, but I really wish you added some AY music to the game itself and some new sounds.
thanks, I was still learning my trade when I did this mod so I might just take a look at doing that.
The best version of Bruce Lee for ZX Spectrum. Keep on doing your best !
I really loved this game back in the day, and this RX version makes it perfect. The original suffered from being a bit too finniky with collision and playability. The graphics were on the bland (somewhat) side. The graphics in THIS version are brilliant, a real improvement. Playability has been improved in the way the character moves and jumps and the interaction with the bad guys. I did a liveplay a bit back which included this great example of how to improve on an already great game.
I played this so much back in the day! Loved it :)
Nice work on this as a fellow Bruce Lee Spectrum fan
thanks, though this is the map of the original game, not my update so not sure why it's here :)
